Elements Casino Chilliwack and BCLC Rules

Elements Casino Chilliwack, at 8180 Young Road, is a land-based casino: you come through the door, show photo ID and play on the floor. Online gambling in British Columbia follows a different set of rules, and the Young Road desk explains them simply below.

Who runs gambling in B.C.

Only gambling run by the provincial government is legal in British Columbia. Every kind of commercial gambling falls to BCLC, from casinos like the one on Young Road to online play. For both, the legal age is 19.

That leaves a single option online. BCLC runs PlayNow.com, the one site in British Columbia where online gambling is legal. The minimum age there is 19, matching the casino door on Young Road. This holds everywhere in the province, Chilliwack and the rest of the Fraser Valley included.

Since April 13, 2026, B.C.'s Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) has overseen gambling across the province. It takes a clear view. In the IGCO's words, any other online gambling website that admits BC players is operating illegally in British Columbia.

Limits that reach online

Game Break is a BCLC program for anyone who decides to step away from gambling by excluding themselves. The Young Road desk notes that the shortest term is 6 months, the longest is 3 years, and 1 year and 2 years sit between them. Once picked, the term is locked and cannot be changed later. Enrolment happens in person on showing government-issued photo ID, at the Young Road casino in Chilliwack, another casino, a commercial bingo hall or a community gaming centre. The agreement holds at B.C. gambling facilities and on PlayNow.com, but no other site is covered.

With Encore Rewards comes BCLC's PlayPlanner, where a member caps their own playing time and money and keeps a record of wins and losses. Day or night, on any of the 7 days, Gambling Support BC answers 1-888-795-6111, and the line runs 24 hours a day. Calls are confidential and cost nothing, and the same support is online at gamblingsupportbc.ca. Help is open to anyone in B.C., Chilliwack included, and to people hit by someone else's gambling.

How this guide is paid

Chilliwack Casino, the Local Way is the Young Road desk's guide to the Chilliwack casino, not a casino itself, and no bets are accepted here. The guide's paid links live solely on its home page, each tagged Ad. Three sit there: in the menu, directly after the opening screen and close to the page's foot. All three send readers to one privately run online casino, which pays the desk a commission. That partner could be replaced in future and stays unnamed throughout the guide.

British Columbia has given that partner no licence and no permission. PlayNow limits, Game Break self-exclusion and IGCO complaints have no reach on its site. The Young Road desk is never paid for links to BCLC, the province, the casino or help services.
